Cherie Hershman - Owner/stylist

Cherie, a Washington state Certified Women's Owned Business owner, has traveled to clients' homes, providing a full array of salon and spa services for more than 20 years now. Established in 2000, “Cuts on Wheels” a mobile hair salon began the journey. A stylist and entrepreneur, she realized her dream of creating a place for everyone to experience nurturing of the spirit, suitably called, Essence, a chic coiffure.

Iris Brumer - Stylist

Iris Brumer recently joined Essence after a career of “in home” styling and is excited to be a member of a salon that brings the comforts of home to the pampering of a salon and spa. She trained at Greenwood Academy of Hair and has 10 years of experience in hair styling and cosmetology. She strives for excellence and creating hair styles for men, women, and children of all ages that they love at the salon and when they style their own hair at home. She enjoys styling and up-do’s for weddings and special occasions. She is experienced with all hair types, especially curly hair. Outside of work she is an accomplished artist, teacher and mother of two handsome adolescent boys.

Kelli Anderson - Stylist

Kelli joined the Essence team in April of 2013. She moved to Seattle from Great Falls MT where she graduated cosmetology school at The Salon Professional Academy. She has lots of experience with specialty coloring and cutting and loves doing the total transformation for her clients. Kelli wants everyone who sits in her chair to feel at home and comfortable. She loves getting to know each one of her guests so she can achieve the perfect look for them. One of her favorite things to do is wedding and any special occasion updos. Her husband was active duty Air Force for 11 years, which helped her learn all kinds of men’s fades and cuts. Outside of work, Kelli enjoys exploring the city and surrounding areas with her husband Chris and little girl pup Otis.
